My name is Jorden and I was born and raised in Queens, lived in the same house for all my years in NYC and never moved until I moved across the world to Japan for three years. While I was out there I studied Japanese at a language school for a year then quit the language school to focus on getting more of a personal feel toward the language, in other words, speak more Japanese-like.
I worked for the remaining two years to hone the language skill I was working on, then came back to NYC to go back to school to further my career options.
I lived in Yokohama the entire time while I was in Japan. It's a beautiful place and I recommend everyone to go, it's even right next to Tokyo, ONLY about 25-30 minutes by train so you can say it's like Queens to Manhattan I guess.
